Clearly a misapplication of the law to charge Jan 6 accused with law meant to punish Wall Street crimes

Is it possible that the U.S. court system is not entirely corrupt? Is there any hope for Canadian courts? Occassionaly, but often their judgements are atrocious, as we have seen repeatedly - rulings which seemingly defy common sense.

Cross posted it Ray.

I suppose we have no possibilty of knowing what lead the jurors to make this decision; this decision sounds absurd.

Thanks. The Crown's case for alleging these 3 men were the ringleaders of the Coutts Blockade was very weak. They pivoted at the end to tell the jury that just by attending the protest in Coutts they were guilty of mischief. This lets the door open for anyone who protested in Coutts to plausibly be charged with mischief. I don't know what the sunset for pressing charges is for the Crown.

Do you think it will be appealed? It sounds like another travesty of justice.
