Agree - It guess the point is that decent people can be malevolent. The Nazi regime was not special in human history. Not in long scale time, not in recent time.
Remember also that the Poles brutally massacred 58,000 Germans in Danzig / Bromburg, which may have precipitated the invasion by Germany.
Soviets - 22,000 at Katyn
US - 1 million German dead in Eisenhowers death camps.
US and UK - Dresden and Tokyo firebombings.
Some complicity in the starvation of millions of Bengalis and later in the war, the starvation of camp prisoners due to utterly destroyed supply lines
