multiple contradictory assertions
none need to be correct
If multiple contradictory assertions are made about an issue, even if it's not complex or controversial, only one (at most) can be correct. This is basic logic. If one person says something and another says the opposite, they cannot both be right.
In essence, the law of contradiction dictates that contradictory statements cannot both be true simultaneously. So, in a scenario where multiple contradictory claims are made, it's logical to conclude that either one claim is true and the others false, or none of the claims are true where they all contradict each other, and in fact, none may be correct.
Therefore, while each person may assert they are providing objective and factual information, if their assertions are contradictory, not all of them can be correct. It's a matter of logic, rather than subjective interpretation.
