Note: Nutritional advice, medical advice? A persons needs a shaker full of salt whenever listening to such stuff - it is all too contradictory to be trusted. However, I have kept off a lot of weight (40 lbs) with a decade plus long low carbohydrate regime. I sometimes have lapsed on adherence, and invariably put on weight. So, for me, for a low carbohydrate diet, the evidence of efficiency for weight maintenance is pretty convincing. For other stuff, who knows. Supplements? I think vitamin D3 keeps me from getting sick so often and so severely, but the evidence is confounded. This confounding of course is the norm for health issues, medication, and supplements.
So I have avoided honey for a long time. This women says it is OK on low carbohydrate, with some caveats. Hmm. I did get some jars a few weeks back from a beekeeper friend.
